I carried a box of art supplies around with me for years. Move after move. Somewhere along the way I wrote "Free Me!" in big letters on its side. I was a practicing attorney at the time. I spent long hours at the office and many weekends.

I remember thinking to myself while photocopying statutes so I could cut and  tape them into an appellate brief - because that was how it was done then - that I looked forward to the cutting and taping most, not the crafting of arguments or tedious case law research, even though I loved my job.

Looking back, I now know that when I wrote those two words with black magic marker in large block letters that I wasn't just wanting to play with art supplies, but to live as a creative being.

I left the practice of law a few short years later "to live creatively," again not fully understanding what I was actually seeking and not knowing that what I was seeking was actually seeking me because what I thought was a plea to free my art supplies, was actually a plea to free my Spirit.

Since then, I've become a certified Zentangle Teacher, visual pattern artist, Heartwork Journaling Coach, spiritual channel, and intuitive guide. Each of these, individually and collectively, fulfills my goal of living creatively.

I now help others free themselves from boxes of all kinds: relationships, jobs, limiting beliefs, fear. Each of us is a creative being having a human experience. When we live that creativity, life gets so much more fun.
